Help: Rinsing my hair
Recently I went no-poo. I wash my hair once a week and my routine is as follows:
I make sure that my hair is wet thoroughly with warm (though not hot) water. Then I apply a small amount of conditioner (CJ Beauticurls Argan and Olive Oil) on my hair and divide it with a wide-tooth comb. Then I put it in a bun for a couple of minutes and then rinse it as thoroughly as I can.
After that, I carefully scrunch out the excessive water and apply Curl Queen, followed by eight scrunches on each side of my hair.
However, I find that the conditioner seems to be sticking to my scalp, leaving it with a greasy feel. I have tried so many different ways to rinse my hair and even after a thorough 40 minute rinse, I still have conditioner left on my scalp. It frustrates me because I don't know how to solve this.
I was hoping someone could give me some advice and tips for my washing routine.

Thoroughly rub with your fingers on your scalp when you're rinsing!! Massage firmly!
If that fails, try a different conditioner.

If this description is ALL you do then you need to massage your scalp while you're putting in the conditioner too. Letting the conditioner just sit there won't clean your scalp, just like with hand washing its the friction that removes dirt & oil, the soap, conditioner, whatever just helps it rinse away easier.
I rotate conditioners/co-washes but my routine is always about the same. I wet my hair, add some co-wash to my ends then distribute a generous amount on my head, top to nape, and start working that through. I then add more conditioner to my palm and rub it on my fingertips and massage it into my scalp with pads of my fingers (no nails!). I keep massaging all over my scalp until it feels slick and my fingers are going numb I then rinse while still masaging and add more/different conditioner to sit for a rinse out condish.
There is a good description in the Curly Girl book and on this website, probably YouTube too. But the main thing is to rub/massage your scalp. You may want to lo-poo or clarify to get a clean slate at this point. I lo-poo about once a week when I PT & DT.

Maybe your hair need an extra wash per week?
At least I would use a lighter conditioner (without oils in it) and scrub gently the scalp with fingerpads for a few minutes.
You can use an heavier conditioner (the one with argan and olive oil you own) for detangling.
In the past i began the CG method doing CW once a week but the hair was too greasy to be cleaned with condish only.
So i'd suggest to do a low poo wash to remove build up caused by the Cws and then enhance the CW frequency

Thanks all for the quick replies!
My hair drove me crazy so I started with a clean slate yesterday evening. For now, I'll continue using my current conditioner as I bought the bottle only three weeks ago and it is too expensive to just let it sit there and change to a different one (really, the prices over here are even worse than in the US). Also, I do find that it really moisturises my hair without weighing it down.
However, I will definitely try the massaging technique. It sounds so logical and simple; I feel pretty stupid for not having thought of that myself :-P Also, I have been thinking about washing it twice a week instead of just once. Does anyone have any experience with increasing the times you wash your hair? I've been washing it once a week for almost my entire life and I've never had any problems.

I was using the curltalk app and got on my ipad to make sure your siggy confirmed what I thought...low porosity. I assume that is why your conditioner is just sitting on top of you hair. I think if no poo is making your hair greasy, switch it up. I used to no poo and my hair LOVED it for awhile because it was so dry and heat damaged. Now that my hair is healthy, I clarify weekly and use a lo poo otherwise. I rarely co wash. Only when my hair is super dry. I have increased my shampoo washes tremendously (from never to once a week) so I say just do what feels right for your hair.

Thank you for your comment! This makes a lot of sense actually. I'll order the Curl Junkie Curl Assurance Gentle Cleansing Shampoo once it's in stock again and see how my hair responds to that :-)

Update: Good news everyone! Massaging my scalp did the trick. As a matter of fact, rinsing out was even easier than before :-D
