Products for fine hair
I'm a 2b/2c/3a with hair cut just above the shoulder. My hair is normal porosity but seems to be pretty fine. I've discovered that I need to clarify my hair on a nearly daily basis, and after a long time using lovely shampoos and conditioners recommended by Naturally Curly users, I have returned to using a drugstore shampoo (ugh) followed by Mop Top conditioner. The shampoo seems to clarify my hair so it isn't weighed down, but I really dislike putting chemicals on my hair.
My question, though, is about styling products. I've tried lots of different types--Curly Hair Solutions Curl Keeper, Mop Top light gel, Curl Junkie Coffee Coco Curl Creme Lite, and AG ReCoil. The product that works best is AG ReCoil. It gives me great clumping and nice, bouncy curls. My problem is that when I use AG ReCoil or any of the other products, by the end of the day (after about 8 or 10 hours), my hair is frizzy and limp. I've tried combining the above styling products and have not found a long-lasting styling solution. I've tried using Coco Curl Creme on dry hair but that doesn't help either. Can anyone suggest a product that can hold my fine hair all day?

The three products you mentioned (CJ CCCC-lite, ReCoil and CK) all have polyquat 10. ReCoil has 55 as one of it's first ingredients. My hair doesn't care for polyquats. I always wondered why gel gives me frizz and discovered that it's the reason why. While Curl Chemist told me they didn't build up, I found that I needed a shampoo with a strong surfactant to remove them. You may have similar issues.
My hair prefers the more natural products. I stay away from chemicals, especially polyquats. I use "jelly" products--gelatinous consistency, no chemicals along with leave in/curl enhancer. Many of my favorites are in my signature.

I agree with KathyMack...I also seem to have hard time with glycerin and polyquats, makes my hair dry and frizzy...I use cleansing “shampoo” (curl junkie cleansing shampoo) about every 3-4 washes, I have horrible well water, which causes build up issues....I find the jelly products also work best, when used in moderation for my fine hair. I for some reason have been using the deva foam, which has polyquats in the ingredient list, but since Im already clarifying, I haven’t noticed any real issues.

Styling product help - fine hair 2C
Hi,
I am new to this forum and site but had a question about recommended products for 2c gals with very fine hair. (low porosity for me) I have baby fine hair and got a Deva style cut about a week ago. I also have a very sensitive scalp.
Bought the shampoo (low-poo) and love it but also bought the B-leave in styler and am finding a few challenges. I don't have the 1hr. needed to let my root clipped and B-leaved hair dry naturally as per my tutuorial at the salon. Am following all steps; product in while hair wet, scrunch to take moisture out with my microfibre gloves, pinning at scalp for lift.(after a diffused root and overall quick dry for setting) Finding the B-leave is letting me down a bit on the hold and frizz fighting.
Any alternative products that can be suggested are appreciated for :
curl definition
frizz fighting (only goes away when air dried)
volume and hold
Products used:
Deva low-poo shampoo (every other day)(previously used Recoil curl shampoo)
Arctic Sun hypoallergenic conditioner
Deva B'leave in (previously AG Details cream)
Used to add a spritz with homemade sea salt spray the odd day.
I shampoo every other day but each day wet and condition as my hair is so fine it holds no curl overnight.
First photo is my hair using LowPoo & B'Leave and air drying , second is just using AG Details and no Deva Curl products & diffuser used to dry hair)
Thanks.

Applying product upside/a bit of diffusing upside down helps with volume. My hair is on the thin side of medium density, so check out my sig below for product recs. Please keep in mind, my porosity differs from yours, but its worth a shot!
