Still experimenting with my new hair and my new-found love of it! Bring on the humidity!
It has been close to a month now since I have gotten my Brazilian Keratin Treatment, and my hair is definitely changing. I am still pretty much frizz-free, but my curls have started getting more pronounced and it is getting a little more difficult to wear it straight without using a flat-iron. I have been wearing my curls for a couple weeks now and they still look great! Just a couple of tips for those of you thinking of getting the treatment done, or already have it: make sure you are using lukewarm water when you are washing your hair since hot water expands the cuticle and makes it more prone to frizz. Try using shampoo only once or twice a week to keep the treatment lasting as long as possible. I like that I had the treatment done during summer, since the humidity is unbearable here in Austin, and it made my life a little easier. I will have to wait to see what it looks like after it rinses out, to decide if I will get another . . . stay tuned!

I’m getting the keratin treatment done today and I’m curious if you changed your styling product choice after the treatment. What’s safe to use when it comes to gels and such? I use the Deva products and herbal essence but even some of those alcohol in them. Any suggestions??
